About Clash Meta / Mihomo

What is Clash Meta (Mihomo)?

Clash Meta is a functional enhancement branch of the Clash kernel, now renamed Mihomo. Compared with the original Clash, Mihomo supports more modern proxy protocols, including VLESS, XTLS-Reality, Hysteria2, Tuic, etc., with significant improvements in performance, compatibility and configurability.

The original Clash kernel project has stopped maintenance in 2023, and all clients currently active in the community have switched to the Mihomo kernel. All clients provided by this site are built based on the Mihomo kernel and are suitable for users who need a stable and fully functional proxy solution.

Yes, Mihomo is the new name for the Clash Meta core. Clash Meta is an enhanced fork of the original Clash core, and the project was later renamed Mihomo. Currently, the names "Clash Meta" and "Mihomo" are often used interchangeably in the community, referring to the same kernel project. The clients provided by this site (such as Clash Verge Rev, FlClash, etc.) are built based on the Mihomo kernel.
This is a general prompt issued by Windows SmartScreen for applications that are not signed by Microsoft. It does not mean that the file is harmful. Solution: Click the "More Information" link in the pop-up window, and then click the "Run Anyway" button to install normally. If you want to turn off this prompt completely, you can adjust the settings in "Windows Security Center → App and Browser Controls → Smart Screen" (long-term turning off is not recommended).
This is a prompt issued by the macOS Gatekeeper security mechanism for applications that have not been notarized by Apple. Solution: Go to "System Settings (Preferences) → Privacy & Security", find the blocked app information at the bottom of the page, and click "Open Anyway". If you don't see this option, you can first try right-clicking the application in Finder, selecting "Open", and then clicking "Open" in the pop-up window.
Click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen (), select "About this Mac". In the pop-up window, if the words "Apple M1/M2/M3/M4" are displayed in the "Chip" or "Processor" column, it means it is an Apple chip. Download the aarch64 (Apple Silicon) version; if the words "Intel Core i5/i7" are displayed, it means it is an Intel chip. Download the x64 (Intel) version.
First confirm whether the subscription link is valid. You can open the link in the browser to check whether the content can be loaded normally. Secondly, confirm whether the link format is in Clash format (YAML format). Some service providers provide subscription links in multiple formats. You need to select the Clash/Mihomo dedicated link. If the node is still empty after importing, you can click the "Update Subscription" button to force a refresh. If the problem persists, it is recommended to checkDetailed troubleshooting tutorial
This is usually because the "system proxy" mode is currently used, which only takes effect for applications that support system proxies (such as browsers). Solution: Turn on TUN Mode (virtual network card mode), which can take over all network traffic on the device and allow all applications to be proxied. In Clash Verge Rev, it can be turned on in "Settings → TUN Mode". Administrator rights may be required to turn it on for the first time.
It may be that the downloaded APK architecture does not match the device. The armeabi-v7a version is suitable for most 32-bit and 64-bit ARM devices, while the arm64-v8a version is recommended for mid-to-high-end devices after 2018. The Android download page Select the APK of the corresponding architecture, or go to FlClash GitHub Releases View more builds. Also make sure that the APK file has been downloaded completely (not corrupted).
Clash Verge is the earliest version and will cease maintenance in 2023. Clash Verge Rev is a version that the community continues to maintain based on the Clash Verge source code ("Rev" means Revived). It is currently the most recommended choice on the desktop and is actively updated. Clash Nyanpasu is another independent branch with a slightly different interface style and is also actively maintained. The functions of the three are similar, and the core is Mihomo kernel. The main difference lies in the interface design and some detailed functions.
